*sigh* It's taken me all week to write this and it's barely even 700 words. I'm thinking of moving the series over to dv_hearts where my other two Daniel/Vala AUs are housed. It would be easier for me in terms of being able to have one all-encompassing list of my D/V fic, and this series is getting long enough that it's going to require a link list in a separate post soon, because linking the chapters is getting to be somewhat of a pain. I wanted to bring it up here for those of you who've been faithfully following the new monster. Well, I managed to write two pages of The Redemption of Gurad Fayne today. Yay me. It's the first time I've written this much on it since the end of November. The second chapter still has gaping holes where I neglected to write the flashback scenes with Alexandra, so I won't be posting any of it for a while. Just wanted to let the Gurad fangirls Bloodkin readers on my flist know that he hasn't been forgotten. ;) I've been bitten by a Season 1 bug, too. I claimed two episodes to icon over the weekend; neither claim has been approved yet, so I had to do other icons instead. *facepalm* So, consider this my apology for the upcoming icon dump. Anyway, I've got one games fic today. I hope you guys like this one. It's short, but any other way I tried to do it made it too long, and it was the only idea I could come up with for sg_challenges this week. I couldn't figure out a way to work the prompt into the Atlantis part of Beyond Breaking, and I'd just done the Vala has a cold arc, I didn't think I could do something like that again so soon. Anyway, here you have it. It's not entirely my idea, but I can't recall who came up with Daniel and the tree. --Edit--I added a couple of other fics to this post since I haven't made my comm posts yet. Reality Bites is just a little transition thing, but I must say that Dreams and Schemes is really one of my favorite fics in any of my series. The friendship between Vala and Sam really clicked for me in this one, and Cam and Teal'c, as usual, are fantastic comic relief. There's also a nice Daniel/Vala moment, which gets my vote. I don't know how much more ridiculous this series can get, but it sure is fun to write. We can thank ladybeth for giving me the Macarena idea. We're getting a bad storm, so I can almost guarantee another update before the weekend is over. The Sam/Vala friendship is definately based on my best friends and I--love you, guys--but I think I've kept them well in character. Comments are appreciated. I find Sam tough to write sometimes, and her friendship with Vala has a big part to play in upcoming chapters. Wow. Here we go. I'm kinda nervous, but I've finally started the sequel to Rediscovered Hearts and The Promise of Thorns. As I've mentioned in the intros to my last few fics, this is an SG-1/Atlantis crossover series. It will probably be as long as RH, although I never plot successfully by chapter, only by events. I know that RH was 47 chapters, total, but how many this series will have depends basically on how long it takes me to tell the story as it fits into the prompts on the challenge communities I'm a part of. I'm nervous for a couple of reasons. RH was well received,but it was an accident. This time I actually intend to create a long series, whereas at the time I wrote RH it was meant to be a two part story. Yes, really. There are still some kinks to be worked out with the RH community that was supposed to start housing my Daniel/Vala fic, so for now I guess I'll just post these here and continue linking to the version of RH that's archived on the D/V archive.
